I never understood why people would go to such lengths to use Trip advisor when Google had it’s own review section. It seemed way more sensible to combine your maps and means of locating your restaurants or business with a means of reviewing them at the same time.
My renewable energy investment business www.willowrivers.com takes me all over the world.looking for projects and meeting new investors. I always uses local guides and Google.maps to have a quick look at an area to Get a feel for where to stay. I have not used a travel book for decades, it’s simpley not necessary any more. The other key feature has been the ability to star places. I either leave a star for places I’ve been or the green flag for places I want to go. This creates a beautiful digital map of my life over the last 20 years. Something a geographer can’t help but love.
