House of Kalam, Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu
The House of Kalam is the ancestral home of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, located
on Mosque Street in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. It is the birthplace of the former President of India, who was born on 15 October 1931. Once a modest family residence, the house has been converted into a museum that celebrates the inspiring life and achievements of the “People’s President.”
The museum preserves photographs, medals, awards, certificates, manuscripts, and personal belongings that chronicle Dr. Kalam’s journey from a humble childhood in Rameswaram to becoming one of India’s most respected scientists and the 11th President of India.
