Hotel Star

Hi,

The star classification for Welcomhotel by ITC at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh is showing as 4 Star even though the Government of India as Five Star. The approval of same was available in their hotel website.

Being a local guide I was unable to edit that rating. Please look into it.

Can anybody help with this?

You could ask the hotel to fix this.

Alternatively, such data issues are better dealt with in the Maps support forum.

Hit the Community tab at the top and make a post.

It is probably not something that can be easily changed.

As mentioned in the article shared by @MortenCopenhagenGoogle gathers data for class ratings from a variety of sources, including third-party partners, direct research, feedback from hoteliers, and machine learning inference that examines and evaluates hotel attributes, such as price, location, room size, and amenities. A 2-star hotel may have modest rooms and economy pricing, while a 4-star hotel might feature upscale decor, a dedicated concierge, 24-hour room service, and luxury amenities such as bathrobes and minibars.

Local Guides cannot modify the class rating, but the business can contact Google Business Profile for them to evaluate the rating, according to their standard, that may differ from the ones of the country.
