In April 2022, I travelled to Portugal and visited multiple locations, including the capital Lisbon.
I’d like to talk about my hotel choice in Lisbon , which was Hotel Riverside Alfama, a small family-owned business.
It’s very well located. You have a metro station next to it. It’s right next to the Praça do Comércio (historical landmark and one of the most popular touristic attraction). It’s also close to the Lisbon Cathedral, Castelo de S. Jorge, and the center of the city.
In terms of price, it’s definitely better than many other hotels around. The breakfast is not pricy at all and quite good.
The rooms are well maintained and very comfortable. They had everything you need. The isolation was very good.
The staff was incredibly nice to us. They were always available for us whenever we had questions. They even went further and beyond by providing tips, restaurant suggestions, itineraries to reach different locations. They did so without us asking. I found that to be very kind from their part.
You have many restaurants located right next to the hotel as well.
The reason I am making this post is that I’d like to support small businesses like this one by promoting it online. It’s definitely a hotel I recommend and it will be my hotel choice again if I go back to Lisbon. It’s a three stars hotel. But in terms of service and quality, I would definitely rate it higher.
