Hot spring: Kusatsu

There are 3,000+ hot spring place in Japan. Today, I introduce “Kusatsu”. I have trip to hot spring with friends in new year’s day. This year, we chose Kusatsu where is very famous as hot spring place in Japan.

This hot spring make 32,300 liter hot water per minute, and the temperature is 60 degrees, so old people made a cooling system as following photo.

Also a lot of sightseeing in Kusatsu.

Snow mountain for ski and snowboard.

Cafe.

Dance for cooling hot water.

Local Sake.

Japanese streets.

Yummy food.

A shrine.

Typically, Japanese stay 2 days more, take a hot spring, and heal heart/body.

Let’s go Kusatsu!

日本三名泉の一つである草津の温泉はとても良さそうな場所だと思います。温泉もあるしスキーもあるし日本の群馬県の人気なスポットだそうです。

お鍋の料理は何でしょうか。とても美味しそうです。

また、ちょうど草津について調べていたところでしたので非常にタイムリーでした。

温泉だけでなく、お酒も鍋も、そして喫茶店も満喫できそうですね:-)

I love how you managed to present Kusatsu in all its diversity with just a few words and those beautiful photos. You have a good eye for detail and interesting angles. And you have quite the sense of humour - I loved the photo of the posts and yourself.

When is the best time of the year to visit Kusatsu?

Thank you for your comment All season is good, but I think around October is best. It is autumn in Japan, so feel good with hot spring and can enjoy autumn leaves.

私もそう思います。冬は温かい鍋料理が本当に最高です！私は人気の鍋料理といえば「しゃぶしゃぶ」とイメージしますね。

I know that the momiji autumn leaves appear in different months for the different regions in Japan, so it’s good to keep in mind when they start in Kusatsu.
