You can not fly drone over Angkor Wat or other temples in Siem Reap or perhaps in Siem Reap town itself. So, riding hot air balloon gives you opportunities to witness the temples from above. The balloon company were from Germany so you can trust the quality.
I had a great opportunity to ride it last year in Siem Reap with my team.
The ride was 120m height [the ferries wheel in Siem Reap is only 85m height]. Just show you know, no tall buildings are allowed to build in Siem Reap, either town or elsewhere because of it is archeological town where hundreds of temples were built.
The ride can be done depends on the good weather. Morning is preferably because the strong wind mostly occurs in the afternoon.
The ride is not recommended for pregnant women or people who have motion sickness.
Price: $7.00 for 10mns ride for adult while kid under 2 is free.
Google map to the office where you can purchase ticket is here. It is about 1km west of Angkor Wat temple. There is a free parking there.
WOW! so amazing @Sophia_Cambodia I do not have any kind of flying experience so far though I always dream to fly . Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this nice post. Stay safe.
Thank you @MukulR once you are in Siem Reap, try this. It is a great 10 mns above the ground just to see everything around you. There are no sky-high in Siem Reap.
Just when I thought I have seen the best articles from @Sophia_Cambodia , this one is even more astonishing.
It must have been a superb experience up there in a balloon at 100s of feet with the cool air and 360Β° views - that a photo alone wonβt capture or tell everything.
I have experienced a zipline over a short distance but this is coolβ¦
Thank you dear @ArjullaHossain Iβm very happy you enjoyed reading my post. Please go through my signature for other articles too. Please take time to read!
Well yeah @TusharSuradkar thank you a million for always reading my posts and giving inspired comment. It was a wonderful experience up there. We were a group of 6 and the balloon is actually big to accommodate about 10-12 people. They use a cable to being us up. I thought 10mns is too short but when I was up there, feel like 10mns is too long. The air pushed it back and forth but the view was stunning.
Thank you dear @BudiFXW we had to wait many days to get through. The weather is a major force for riding. We called almost everyday whether they will give a ride but they kept saying - not today, the weather is not preferable.
