IshantHP_ig I was thinking that before organizing a Meet-up i rather spot who live in Hong Kong and would be interested to join. The G Maps LG communitty in HK must be pretty thin so scheduling a Meet-up that know one join is no a good idea to me. How do you think i should do this as you are way more experience than i am?

One thing i want to clear that: by this post it’s not easy to point out the local guides from Hong Kong but if you host a meet up then the chances are high.

@MapMapJulien nice to know that you plan to host a meetup. Just like @IshantHP_ig had already stated, when you schedule your meetup, do share the link across your social media handle and other LG unofficial groups to create awareness, that way more LGs and intending LGs might be interested to attend.
Remember, most meetup organizers end up being rhe only attendee the first time. If this happens, don’t worry, it’s normal. The important thing is that you explored a new place and added useful information to Google Maps which in turn helps millions of users.

@EmekaUlor That’s exactly what i was seeking to avoid by first starting a conversation here and spotting LG located in Hong Kong who are likely to join a meetup. I use social media intensively and by experience, tweets or facebook post will not bring anyone. You need to find specific groups where these people are likely to be found. I am lazy so minimum effort for reaching targeted outcome ;). Thanks for spending the time to guide me.
