I was born in Hong Kong but moved to Canada when I was really young. Every now and then, I would go back with my parents to visit and would easily become bored because all I did was shop and eat.
As I got older, I was able to explore Hong Kong on my own and fell in love with it’s architecture. Not the new modern buildings and skyscrapers that you always see in the movies, but the old ones.
There are many older buildings that have a unique Chinese/English flavor to them, and I especially love the public housing complexes. I wanted to share these buildings with people who otherwise wouldn’t know about them, so I started posting photos onto Google Maps.
I know that these buildings won’t last forever because Hong Kong is constantly tearing apart old buildings in order to modernize them. So lets all appreciate these while we can!
@FlameFox The Disney Land in Hong Kong is smaller than the other ones and the rides are not as intense. It can get really crowded and hot on weekends. But it is still worth going if you haven’t been. I would say it is a good place to go with your family and loved one. Go there to take nice pictures and enjoy all the cute things Disney has to offer.
@FlameFox It is really easy to get there! You just need to take the MTR (subway) and there is a train that takes you directly to the park. The directions in the subway are very clear so you can follow the lines until you get to Sunny Bay station and then transfer to the DisneyLand station. If you get lost, most people can speak English there so it shouldn’t be a problem to get help. Good Luck!
Hi @Oscar_Kwok , I agree than Hong Kong is not only limited for eating and shopping. We also have our unique culture and food that cannot be found in elsewhere. Thanks for sharing those ironic photo spot with us.
