I’m Grainne, a true Celtic girl from the wonderful Emerald Isle. I’m sorry to say that I have never come across a leprechaun on my travels. Hence why there are no reviews on finding a lucky pot of gold with a rainbow and green little man attached to it. Honestly folks, there are no leprechauns in Ireland. However there are plenty of other cool and interesting things that Ireland has to offer. I love that the Google Guide program allows me to share these places with the world.
Being a Local Guide connects me to a diverse community of people from all over the planet. It allows me to share the best things in my culture whilst getting a glimpse of what others have to offer. We each have our own individual thoughts, ideas, opinions and experiences. This Local guide program brings all these attributes together so that people can choose their own adventure based on what they like.
If someone asked me where they should go in Dublin for a true cultural experience I would send them straight to Jonnie Foxes pub nestled away in the Dublin Mountains. At Jonnie Foxes pub you will get live traditional Irish music, Irish dancing and fantastic views of Dublin. It has an amazing array of sea food to choose from and a live Irish dancing show. The atmosphere and vibe in the bar is just amazing and makes for a true Irish experience. Labeled the highest pub in Ireland Jonnie Foxes is well worth the trip. For me as a local guide it is important to point people in the right direction that’s why I’d recommend them on google.
My fiancée and I live in a magical place called Donegal in the north of Ireland. I moved here a year ago and was astounded to find so many amazing, yet undiscovered, places. It’s rich in culture, history and breathtaking scenery that I now get to share with others. Without the local guide program how else could I personally help get this message out there?
Everyone has different needs, wants and desires, and no two guides are the same. I enjoy learning from what others have experienced. What I might enjoy another might hate. This is the beauty of being a local guide. It is great to have a combination of opinions. It’s about making sure that everyone gets the best possible experience by highlighting all the wonderful options there are on offer.
As local guides we can direct people where to go to get value for money, tell them where they can see something spectacular and ensure they go home feeling like they got the best experience they could.
Ireland is a fantastic place I call home and if you don’t believe me check out Google Local Guide.
