(Homenaje al campesino) Mr. Hermeregildo in a short poem.

LABRIEGO.

Labriego que doblas la espalda
Y siembras con tu duro azadón,
el arbol que acaricia en sus ramas,
Los trinos del pájaro cantor.

Labriego que resistes callado
La lluvia y el fuego del sol,
Para dar al mundo con tus manos,
Un pan lleno de tierra y sudor.
Miguelefe.

Homenaje al campesino.

Whoever wants to visit this place will see how important are the peasants here and all over Colombia (I would say in the world). They provide in a huge percentage what we are eating here in Bogotá and Colombia, indeed. They have the knowledge about how the land must be worked. I think they must be part of the changes we need now in Colombia. As forgotten communities ,my post is for all of them. I dedicate this for my roots. My mother’s family comes from here. And I am so proud of it.
This monument is located in Ramiriquí-Boyacá. This place is best known for the arepas boyacenses and handmade clay souvenirs. Here, you can get such a delightful time if you are looking for a real connection with some Colombians roots, like mine and my family. Bring your coat or better a ruana, traditional woven coat made of sheep’s wool. It will keep you warm. Do not hesitate to buy one. Aquaman (I mean, Jason Momoa, the Hollywood actor) bought one and share it in IG (Instagram). Check this out and find out how to get Ramiriquí-Boyacá.
