Home sick

Chicken Spiced Spaghetti with Plantain and egg.

Scrolling through pictures on my phone and I stumbled on this and got reminded of how home sick I am and how much I miss having properly cooked meals.

Hello @UdokaObis

I can understand that feeling. I was locked down in Ghana for about a year during the pandemic and I felt it.

Are you out of Nigeria? You should be able to get some decent Nigerian meals around somewhere.

This particular meal you posted here, did you make it yourself or you bought it. Kindly tell us more about it.

N:B I realise that this is your first post, I want to share with you “Your guide to Connect” , the introductory Guide of the community. In there you will find all the necessary information to know how to contribute on this forum

If you have a doubt about how to do something? The Help desk is here for you, with a long list of post with detailed indications on how to post.

Which kind of contents we share in the community? What are Connect topics? will give you an explanation.

Cheers

Hiiii @SholaIB ,

I am actually in Nigeria but I moved from Lagos to Imo state and I totally miss food made from my mom’s kitchen and my sister’s cooking.

The food in the picture was made by my sister and I did the photography.

How was the lockdown in Ghana though? My Bestfriend and I have always wanted to visit Ghana.

It was very cool really but I missed that home taste.

I have since returned earlier this year. Yes Ghana is a nice country to visit. They are nice places of interest and tourism to visit there.

You’ll like it there.

That is an irresistible combo @UdokaObis

Looks tempting and must be delicious.

Did you prepare this at home or had it in a restaurant?

This was home made, my sister did the major cooking, I just fried the plantain and took the picture.

I wonder, does plantain grow in India? @TusharSuradkar

@UdokaObis welcome to Owerri. You would soon forget home because Owerri is home away from home. I spend a lot of time in Owerri and my mom wonders why I love the city. The city is fun especially on weekends and I get to taste variety of local cuisine like Ugba, eju, ofe owerri & akpu, and of course palmwine.

Here is a cool place @ChinonsoOnukwugha showed me.

I bet @Julietezego and @preciousimo would make you feel at home.

In addition to the tips Shola gave, I suggest you Introduce Yourself so that the community would know you better.

Looking forward to to read more posts from you.
