Home-Made Protein Shake in Quarantine Days

I know all my fitness freaks Local Guides are still doing some workouts at home. Because we know we might lose our gains in this quarantine but can’t stop pushing ourselves to our limits. During these days, I have seen so many interesting exercises which can be done at home. (Let’s skip this part; we can Google so many home workouts :).

Anyhow, exercising at home is so much fun but unfortunately totally forgot about my supplements backup. So today, right after my workout, when I looked into my bag and grabbed my supplement, I found my protein container empty (seems like the end of days :confused: ).

But again, this quarantine allowed me experimenting with some new stuff and home-made protein shakes is one of it. So I tried a pocket-friendly shake at home and honestly, it’s very simple as you will only be required your regular grocery items.

Here is the list of ingredients:

  1. Milk (whole/almond/low-fat) 200 ml
  2. Eggs white (raw) 2
  3. Bananas (medium) 2
  4. Ice cream (vanilla/chocolate) 30 gm Or vanilla extract pinch for taste
  5. Ice

Procedure

Add all the ingredients in a blender. Blend it well until you get a smooth liquid. Pour it into your favorite mug and enjoy it as a post workout drink ;).

By the way, if you are calories conscious, you can skip bananas and add a pinch of chocolate powder or cinnamon powder to give it a taste.

Fantastic @MSulaiman , the procedure of making protein is so easy, and I think it’s best for summers and especially for month of Ramdhan which is coming soon insha’Allah. So I will definitely try this at my home.

Looks attractive but can I use raw Cocoa powder instead of chocolate ?

If you’re a banana lover, then you’ll definitely love it. And if don’t like it, you can replace bananas with strawberries.

@ogewuru definitely you can add raw cocoa powder. Initially, add a pinch only, taste it and then increase the quantity accordingly. It’s all about the best mixture of quantity of ingredients.

Literally I had to ask someone to hand over me a glass of water till last monday after all gyms were closed :face_with_hand_over_mouth:. But then, I grabbed my airpods, played my favorite songs and started walking in my garden. That helped me to get a momentum to start workouts too.

And yes if you aren’t interested in protein intake, then skipping eggs from the recipe would be an awesome milkshake too.
