Rawza e Sharif means Holy Tomb which belongs to the 4th Calipha of Islam “Hazrate Ali (K), this place is also known as Shrine of Hazrate Ali (K) which is one of the most popular and touristic place in Afghanistan. Rawza e Sharif is located in Mazar city Balkh province of Afghanistan

Hijri Shamsi New Year celebration are always performing in Rawza e Sharif in the name of Jandabala. Jandabala means rising the multi colored flag in the first day of Hijri Shamsi new year in Rawza e Sharif. Jandabala is a sign of good luck and honor in King Jamshidi’s culture and will remains risen for firs 40 days of new year. In this celebration most of afghan governors and tourists around the world attends and thousands of people watch them while rising the Jandabala.

This place is always open for tourists and people to come and visit. In this holy place you can find and old museum which contains many ancient and scarce things from the very first Islamic period and also you can find and old library that have hundreds of ancient hand written books and much more. In the compass of this area there are many mini parks and small antique shop for visitors to buy and enjoy the views. To better understand and feel this place you have to physically be in here and feel the real atmosphere of this place. it’s amazing I cannot describe this place with words you have to visit it once.
