HKLGS Oct Meet-up: HK's must-visit coffee shop

Date: Oct 12, 2018

Time: 19:30

Venue: The Coffee Academics

Everyone is welcome to join for a hangout among Local Guides in HK. Welcome to bring your own friends even they are not LGs yet. (Surely they will after the gathering.)

It is specially to celebrate that @TonyChu will be departing to San Francisco to attend ConnectLive 2018.

Why we choose The Coffee Academics.

It got me suprise that in

6 must-visit coffee shops, according to your reviews by Googler @kmajewski

HK is on list. As HKLGs, I have to go there and share the experiences.

The Coffee Academics (Hong Kong, China)

This laboratory-like spot has coffee down to a science with its own beans roasted in-house and multiple ways to use said ground beans from a traditional espresso machine to Chemex to siphon.

Local Guides say:

“Some of the best coffee you can find in Hong Kong. Lots of unique specialty coffees, be sure to try them out! Not cheap but well worth it.” -Local Guide Julian Rittmayer

Hi @UrvilS ,

Thank you for asking.

This meetup do not need RSVP. We will wait at the outside of the cafe 10minutes early. Then go inside as a group.

Even LGs are coming late, they can go inside and join us any time.

Thank you @davidhyno .

I drink a lot of coffee, but never demanding. So when I need to choose among the list, I usually ask for the one that I can pronounce.

Do you have any recommandations on which country or any other way to choose for me?

Currently I like to drink gingseng coffee or cereals!
If you like a strong and strong taste then I recommend an Italian coffee “espresso” !
For tastes a bit 'lighter but always decided I would try a coffee from the Caribbean.
For tastes a little more fruity or florealy and anyway I would try a coffee from Africa!

Of course you have to get strength and taste them all without sugar: it’s the only way to enjoy the full taste of u coffee!

Good tasting dear @YK1001 !

Bye,

David

Gathering with other Hong Kong Local Guides (@YK1001@Edward3@UrvilS) at The Coffee Academics last night .

Detail information of The Coffee Academics:

The place is cozy and in fact it is our first time we have been there. But the location of this place is easy to found it. Worth to try.

We took many Selfie and a lot has been discussed about the Local Guides Things during the gathering.

Wish we can meet more often.

I learn more frim this meetup.

It is - not to do coffer tasting during the night. As LGs might not be drinking coffe during the night.

Thus breakfast session should be much better.
