Khulna, Bangladesh.
There are hardly any hunters who have not heard the name of the rotten dighi of Bagerhat. You can easily get off at Dashani bus stand in Bagerhat by rickshaw or on foot. There is an incident of naming the rotten dighi in the mouths of the people. The one who made the rotten dighi is Bhagna and Khanjahan Ali (Rah) is Mama. After cutting the dighi, he said to mama, look, mama, the water in my dighi is as clear as pomegranate juice. But even though Mama Dighi is big, the water is not so clear. From then on, the name of Dighi became Rotten Dighi. The location of the lake is seventy bighas, rectangular to look at. The surrounding banks are high and there are innumerable trees on the banks of the lake, the quiet environment and the chirping of birds are ideal places for fishing. The main species that have been released for fishing in this pond are Katal, Rui, Mrigel, Black Carp, Common Carp, Silver, Brighead, Pangas etc. Pond authorities give tickets for fishing every year for 12 hours without tickets. You can fish in a total of 120 seats. For this you have to pay 10,000/- Taka for each seat. This fishing competition is usually held from July to October. At this time hunters from different districts of the country gather for fishing. One of the reasons for this crowd is the size of the fish. There are fish weighing from zero to fifty kg in the pond.
