Description :- The above picture is showing The Gurdwara Saragarhi located in Ferozepur Punjab ( India ) . The story of this place is really heart touching.
On September 12, 1897, The fort of Saragarhi ran and reported that a LeT of thousands of Pathans is moving towards the side of Saragarhi North with the flag for the fight. At that time into the fort only 21 Sikh soldiers were there. Havildar Ishar Singh was the leader of them. Sikh soldiers fought on behalf of the British Indian Army against Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen. They fought with bravery.
This Saragarhi Gurdwara is a place for them to give respect to all these brave soldiers and never forget them.
Saragarhi Day:- Saragarhi Day is a Sikh military commemoration day celebrated on 12 September every year to commemorate the Battle of Saragarhi.
