Historical place Sindhkhedraja -Attraction of Maharashtra

Sindkhed Raja holds immense historical significance as it is closely linked to the legacy of Rajmata Jijabai. Born on January 12, 1598, in the grand Bhuikot Palace, she was the daughter of Lakhuji Raje Jadhav, a valiant nobleman of the Nizamshahi court. She was raised in an environment of courage, devotion, and warrior ethics, which she later instilled in her son, Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire.

The historical structures in Sindkhed Raja, including Rajwada (Royal Palace), reflect the grandeur of the Maratha period. The birthplace of Jijabai has now been transformed into a memorial and museum, showcasing relics and artifacts from the glorious past. The fortifications, the grand entrance, and the intricate architectural designs narrate the tales of a bygone era. Sindkhed Raja stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit of Rajmata Jijabai, whose vision and guidance played a crucial role in shaping the destiny of Maharashtra.
