In this September, I visited five Historic Gardens of Yamagata Prefecture, North western part of Japanese archipelago for my summer vacation. Let me present the explanations and photographs about these five Historic Gardens.
After the Sakai Family’s Garden“酒井氏庭園”, I visited Sokoji Garden “總光寺庭園” in Sakata City”酒田市”.
The history of the Sokoj i"總光寺" tells that the high priest Getsuan Ryoen”月庵良圓禅師” of Hoonzan Eitokuji"報恩山永徳寺", Mutsunokuni"陸奥国", Isawa-gun"胆沢郡", enshrined the pharmacist and Buddha at the top of the peak in 1384. In response to the war and disaster, the temple was rebuilt each time it was damaged. The current view of the temple is based on the reconstruction after the disaster in 1756, including the garden.
The garden is the hill and pond Garden, which is designed to enjoy the view by seating from the inside of the storehouse.
It is an excellent landscape that expresses elements such as mountains, waves, and seas that make up a natural landscape in a three-dimensional manner, like an artificial hill, cascade, stream, or pond.
In 1976, this garden was designated as National places of scenic beauty.

Thank you very much for your reply. I would like to express my digital retouch methods by using movies someday at my YouTube account. I prefer to take beautiful landscapes and nightscapes, cultural heritages like old buildings and monuments.
