Why I want to contribute to Google Maps? Why be a #localguide?
Compared with other map application, e.g. Apple or OpenStreetMap, Google Maps is the best map application.
It has won with showing the actual traffic situation on the street.
My wife and me are commuters, so it makes sense to have look in Google Maps before we start driving.
Also, in our freetime, we take a look in Google Maps to find restaurants, and if they are open.
But still there are so many unknown, but good places to show.
And for sports: I am working on how to contribute the best trails for bikes or running training in our area.
Next: showing hiking trails in Google Maps! That would be great!
