Hiking to Charco Azul

Of course we have Beach all around our Island. And when you visit us , most of the excursions are oriented to visit them.

But if you have time, and like to do Hiking, there are also some options to experiment here in Puerto Rico.

The preferred Hiking place for the tourist is El Yunque trail. This is great, as I describe already in other of my post, here in Connect.

Today, I like to present to you the Charco Azul trail in the Cayey & Patillas Area. This is a medium hard trail that take me about 25 minutes to do from the parking area to the Charco Azul.

I recommend to use your Hiking pole.

This is a great place to be relax with nature. You will find a diverse range of flora and will be walking on different kind of surface, concrete, tar, mud, dry mud, etc.

So bring your best walking shoes.

No facilities at all. Charco Azul is a beautiful place to hang out with a group of friends. Clear water. Place have some old gazebos. Clean area, nice to do a Picnic. Remember you will need to carry all through a medium hard trail, so bring the essential, like cold water to drink. When arrive you will find the blue water that made the name of Charco Azul.
