In a few places, I’ve seen restaurants offer private eating spaces for women who wear the hijab. These spaces can be small partitions or even separate rooms. It’s really helpful for those who prefer not to show their faces in public while eating.
Restaurants are often crowded public places. For someone like me, who follows hijab, and others who do the same, being in such crowded places can be uncomfortable.
Having a private area inside the restaurant makes it much easier for women wearing hijab. Whenever I find a restaurant with such thoughtful arrangements, I make sure to leave a positive review. It’s my way of showing gratitude to the business owner for their setup.
In Bangladesh, a Muslim-majority country, such arrangements are not common. Especially where I live, only a few restaurants offer this kind of setup.
I suggest making a small private space or partition for larger restaurants with enough space. It’s a simple gesture that can make dining out more comfortable for many.
