Highlighting Sustainability in Pune with Google Maps

This is in response to the Earth Day Celebration post by @Julie_A

Indeed, every day is a good day to take action toward preserving nature and choosing sustainability :+1:

During my morning walks and evening walks in Pune, I noticed several recycling bins installed along the sidewalk by the Poonawala Business Group.

This was a great gesture by them and an opportunity for local guides like me with sustainability concerns.

I quickly took photos and added them to Google Maps. The edits were approved before I reached home :smiley:

Here is my list of the places added on Google Maps:

  1. Adar Poonawala Dustbin Poorva Heights
  2. Garbage Bin Mauli Pump
  3. Garbage Bin Sai Chowk
  4. Adar Poonawala Garbage Bin NIV

The best part of these bins is the way they illustrate through pictures which waste goes into which compartment :+1: very innovative and helpful.

Capturing these details on video or photo (with helpful captions!) can make a big difference.
