Hidden Waterfall , Mussoorie

Kempty Falls in Mussoorie is quite popular spot and thus always crowded. One cannot enjoy quality time there and shower under the falls without getting oggled by other people standing all around it. There are so many shops and so many people that I wouldn’t be wrong in saying that it has been overly commercialised.

Thus we headed out in search of a waterfall where we can just sit under the falling water and enjoy the time and our search ended at Jharipani waterfalls.

There are no sign boards at the entrance of the fall, so its very likely that you would miss it. Travel according to the google maps and where it shows the falls there you have to take the exit into the wilderness. The road leading to the fall is not built and the valley is too steep so you can’t take two-wheeler. Even four wheeler can’t go after half the way. There is a hike of about 1km to the falls. The hike towards the end is quite adventurous. There is a small portal to the fall. Once you enter the portal, you are completely hidden from the rest of the world. There are no shops , no parking lots , no changing rooms and no people. The water is clear and clean.

You can take change of clothes , mat and basket with food and make a picnic out of it
