Just popped into Dilkhusha Cabin near the College Street crossing (88, M G Road) and it’s one of those places where food + nostalgia combine beautifully.
Why visit:
A vintage “cabin style” restaurant with wooden chairs, marble-tops & a vibe that whispers old Kolkata.
The fish kabiraji & chicken kabiraji are stand-outs — crisp, generous portions, real comfort food.
Very friendly for students / budget munchers (~₹300 for two), and perfect for a casual food explore post-lecture or when strolling the books & stalls around College Street.
What we tried
Tried Mixed Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken at Dilkhusha Cabin, one of the oldest and most iconic cabin restaurants near College Street, Kolkata. The food was flavour-packed — the fried rice had that perfect wok aroma, and the chilli chicken was rich, spicy, and comforting. Loved the old-school vibe with marble tables and classic cabin interiors — it truly felt like stepping into a piece of Kolkata’s culinary history. A must-try spot for food lovers who enjoy authentic taste and timeless charm! ![]()
