For many reason, you’ll find me extremely active on google maps and I plan to tell you why on in this article. To start, I was born and raised in South Gate, California. Most consider that an “inner city” which means I’m not REALLY from Los Angeles aka Beverly Hills nor am I close enough to Orange County aka Disneyland so I set off to discover those popular, local restaurant and places in the LA/OC area! It was really a blessing - commute wise - to live in the middle of the two biggest counties of Southern California. So I got my hands a smartphone and car in 2009 and been snapping photos, writing reviews and rating on google maps.
This is why I continue to do so:

I have been able to work on food photography that I consider to be click bait. This has helped small business get more exposure! + their page looks vibrant and beautiful on google maps

I am able to place a new restaurant on the map after a grand opening or change hours!

It’s amazing to see how many people worldwide click on my photos!

I use Google Maps to save my favorite spots around the world! (My map is filled with stars haha.)

I enjoy reading comments on googlemap more so than yelp because they seem more organic!
