I started to be a Local Guide just for fun at the beginning. I had curiosity because i didn’t know that we could modify or add places on the map and this is a wonderful idea. Thanks to this opportunity I could add places that didn’t exist before, satisfying myself for the good action and helping peole finding that place. My favourite sharing on Google Maps are photos and the correct modify of places without any doubts.
In my opinion, the possibility of adding photos on the map is very helpful for the community around the world who want visit that particular position. The modify of a place is equal useful because it’s very easy to find a wrong place or an existing place with wrong informations. So I think that a Local Guide can be seen such as a guardian of the map of the world. That’s why Google Maps is so powerful, because we can improve it all together with a few minutes of free time.
