Being a local guide is a privilege , as i can give my opinions about food , travel , hotels and other stuff ( irrespective if its right or wrong by others opinion) it feels so good when i get replies back for sharing my experience and that it actually helped the tourists for thier journey.
i also helped the locals in my city or town to put their shops or apartments on the maps for free , and also taught them how to do so . this will help the tourists to understand other towns more well through modernization .
the day i received a socks pair from google guide for my good work i was motivated and happy. didnt matter if it was just a socks pair but to get something from google was a big achievement for me. it made me work harder and i boasted about it on my insta and Facebook. everyone was very impressed.
