Helping the Future Me using Google Maps

Humans are selfish by nature. This is also true for me. In Google Maps, whenever I make a review, photos, or rating, I do it to help myself in the future. Before explaining how it can help me, let me explain how I use Google Maps to save time, money, and life. Yes, I said life because losing time and money is something similar to wasting your life.

For example, I am looking a restaurant; I go to Google Maps and search restaurants around me (if needed, I search for restaurants with specific cuisine). From the list of the restaurant, I go by the most reviews one. If the rating is high, then I started to read recent reviews. Once the reviews look good, I go to the Photos section and try to find photos of the inside environment. If everything looks perfect, then I try to see if the Photos of the Menu is there. I need to find the Menu to find the available dishes and their prices. And then the most critical steps, see the read food’s photo. Many restaurants named items with fancy words, which is not self-explanatory. So finding the pictures of the dishes are vital for me.

This whole process requires a lot of information to be online and posted by the consumer, not the restaurant authority. If I need that information for myself, somehow I need to inspire people to put that information for me. And that is like a circle. If I post reviews and photos of restaurants and someone gets benefitted from it, I am sure someone will do the same, and I will be benefitted in the future. So that’s the simple rule of “Helping myself by helping others”.
