Helping the community, One contribution at a time!

I was 18 when I came across the Local Guides Program, while I was curiously exploring the features of the Google Maps App. Since then, it has been a roller coaster ride for me. A young boy got a platform to showcase his hobby, photography!

Local guides Program gave me a sense of worth. I made a difference. My contributions were helping people, guiding them, saving their time and energy. It is because of Google Local Guides that I continued my hobby, framing places, food, and other products and uploading them on Google Maps for good. It was now my Part-Time Job!

I used to upload lots of food pictures, videos, and reviews, and the contributions I did got a very positive response from society. My pictures were being featured and it made me very confident about myself! This is when I realized that I must try to be a food blogger. Believe me or not, it has been 11 months since I started my food blog on Instagram, and now I have a family of over 7100 people looking up to me! I get multiple messages every day about how my contributions are helping people, which makes me jump with joy, every time! Have a look at my Blog - @aphotofoodie | Food Blog - Jaipur

Also, at present, I am Pursuing Computer Science Engineering. Like many cs engineers, I have a dream to work with Google, in the Googleplex! But guess what, I am already associated with Google through the Local Guides Program!

So, what does the Local Guides program mean to me?

It means a lot to me being a Local Guide. The Local guides program has shaped me into a more confident human, who is selflessly contributing to society, digitally! It feels like I am omnipresent, helping thousands of people every day! I am already working with my dream company through it. The love from the community brings with it a sense of satisfaction, about how I made a difference. I have my own food blog, which was an outcome of the Local Guides Program. The Local Guides program is very dear to me.

I’ll keep helping the society, one contribution at a time!
