I’m a level 6 Local Guide and I couldn’t me more proud to be a part of this community.
So here’s the experiencethat I wanted to share:
There’s a street vendor near my place who was struggling to attract customers as his new business was not mentioned on Google Maps. I asked for his permission to add his place and all the essential details. When everything was all done, his eyes were filled with tears of contentment and joy. This was probably one of the best of my life. Now more people know about this business and I couldn’t be happier for the change I was able to make only because of Google Maps.
Click the 3 dots near the post and click Edit Message from the menu that appears.
Also, I would suggest using the @ tool to address people when replying, as I have done above.
This sends a notification to people about your message and helps keep communication streamlined.
It’s good to know that you could make a difference in someone life, Gauri. I have the same excitement when I uploaded the business of a chaat counter in Vikaspuri. I tried a couple of his things and they were excellent; Hygiene was also pretty good. Thus, I decided to add his business along with the photos. The business gained a lot of attention and garnered thousands of views. Well, if someone is ill-informed and is not aware about such stuff, it makes me happy to voluntarily get them well-deserved visibility.
But, I am a little skeptical to ask shop owners in my area to add them on Google along with the photos as I fear if they’d shoo me away, lol.
