Local Guides program means to me a program that can help people with direction, places, tips or just to know the most excited things to do when you are going out. People that can discover their inspiration with some experience shared by others.
I think we deserve to know all information about the world and for sure Local Guiders help people to have this information around the World.
I had a great and funny experience as a local guide that happened when I was in London. I was next to the Marble Arch tube station waiting for the bus to the airport and it was cold and windy that day. I had some trolley bags and I still had to wait another hour before the bus left. So I decided with my wife that we were going to pass under the avenue with all our bags and wait at the Marble Arch tube station. When we got there, for my surprise, we saw a famous american coffee shop franchise (Star …). More than quickly I checked that there was no reference to this place in GMaps. So, I edited the place on Google Maps and helped thousands of people who, now, knows that there are this cafeteria there. For me it was exciting, therefore, to edit a place inside a famous London underground station, referring to one of the most famous coffee shops in the world is something rare and of unique opportunity. I hope that in this year I can be one of the inviteds to participate of the Connect Live event.
