As I travel around Bangkok and rural areas of Thailand, I find lot’s of small businesses that have either not bothered listing on Google maps or simply didn’t know how to. I therefore usually ask the owners of such as small restaurants, cycle repair shops, barbers or salons or even entertainment venues which I have visited and got to know the staff there and asked if they ever posted on maps and many have said not yet.Like last year I discovered one small cycle repair shop located on the side of a busy road, but the owner just said he didn’t think it was necessary to post on maps, so I asked his permission to take some photos and post it for him, along with a review of his very good cycle service, at which he had repaired one bike of mine for a very fair price, but until I found the place by accident, I didn’t know it’s exact location, but now it’s easy to find, after I got the correct details of it’s precise location and recently chatted to the owner and he said people are finding his place much easier now. I feel that I still have a lot to do to help more local small business similar to the bike repair shop and will continue seeking out these, sometimes hidden away places. I have benefited and other people should too, by us all coming together and really building a great community of local guides,
