The advent of technology has revolutionised the way we get to experience, enjoy and share the activities that we so dearly love. Google Local guide has made sharing and expressing your thoughts about a place much more simpler, hassle free and super objective. I am an endurance athlete and from time to time, I get to run with my buddies (shpwn in the picture above) in and around Cape Town. We normally go hard, run faster and exposing our heart rates to its maximum beat possible. This hard work and grue - some exercises need some inspiration sometimes. We have turned to local coffee shops and caffès for inspirations and mostly for cool downs post a hectic running sessions.
Now, this is where google reviews come in handy for me. Knowing that Cape Town is one of the most active city in South Africa, and there is probably a person or group of persons who are also looking for a hangout spot post their endurance activities; my reviews get to assist these athletes in finding inspiring and cost - effective spots to cool down like I do post my activities.
In this way I have helped a number of athletes to find spots I have visited. They too get to visit these spots as well and in the process we get to assist the business owners with more customers.
As a reviewer and a google connect guide user, I have also benefitted through fellow athletes’s reviews. I have discovered cool places that allows myself and my buddies to visit these places as well.
A cool thing about reviwing athletes hangout spots is that you get to forge friendship with other athletes and you get recommendations of some fantastic endurance events around the city.
