- What I love about being a Local Guide: I am happy if my picture are seen by many people. I am happy if the picture that I uploaded has a positive impact to the visitors and the owner of the place. Providing a great benefit for many people, is a pride for me.
This subjects was the key first time that made me interested joining Google Local Guides. It turned out that my post in one of the restaurants on google map, brought blessings to the owner of the restaurant. Because of the picture many visitors came to that place.
Finally, one of the app for ordering food, commuting, digital payments, shopping, hyper-local delivery, corporate with this restaurant. From this title, makes me always and serious to get introducing every place that I consider and necessary to be helped. When this subjects getting motivate me, I must be able to provide various interesting picture to help the place be better known.
I tried to give the best picture, although sometimes of it produced were not good, but I tried to help them with the product reviews. I am currently focusing on food and traveling, because this category is still suitable for Indonesian people. It helps them to find out about trips to some of the place.
in 2018 I went to Russia. Some pictures of my trip I put on Google Map, with Indonesian languages. Of course, many Indonesian people mores interested to find out about it, especially the Russian people was feel proud that my people are happy to come to their country.
Every review I gave with Indonesia and English languages, because many tourism place in Russia use in Russian languages. The result is excellent. Many people who have been to Russia, also share their experiences and share tips for traveling to Russia with a cheap budget.
Than…
In North Sumatra, Indonesia. I live on Lake Toba, one of the largest lakes in the World. This island is still not getting more attention to the world community. Even though it’s not maximal yet, I tried to fill out the latest updates about Lake Toba. Especially the location of the road that has never been updated properly.
For example, in Lake Toba there is one location that is rarely known to the outside community which is outside of Lake Toba, this locations is Muara. Many people in general only know that the way to the location is very bad and this location is rarely visited.
After I made a location post on Google Map, many people realized that the location could be reached well by the vehicle now. In Muara, there is a Sipadan island. This small island needs attention from the government and the outside community. This beautiful island has few visitors.
I captured my visit to this island through a video that I uploaded on Google Maps to introduce more about the beauty of the island of Sipadan. Many outside communities do not yet know that in Lake Toba there is one small island that also has beautiful beauty, but still rarely visited.
Hopefully with my experience, everyone can share interesting and useful moments. We will never know, that with this upload one day will provide great benefits for other visitors.
