Hello, my name is Molly, a local guide user in Palembang. I am one of a wheelchair user here.
At first, I didn’t know the reason why I join Google Local Guides. I just share my experience there as a disabled through local guide application. If I were travelling to any places whether good or bad experience. I wrote my reviews from wheelchair user perspective.
Since, however, a long ago, many public facility here in Indonesia were not friendly for disabled people like me. Especially here in my city, Palembang. But, there was any well progress here. Atleast, we had some accessible facilities building, like in airport and malls. Furthermall, I often keep struggling to enjoy my journey because stairs, and uneven roads in everywhere. Oh, few of accessible toilet also became big problem for me sometime.
I didn’t know that many people had responses about my stories. About thousands people viewed my experience story, it was not impossible that out there would help other disabled. They could get any information from me. Because only few people had concern with disability issue. The most might interest with food or instagramable thing’s place. So, why not I am as disabled the one who care ?
I hope I can visit other more places, so I can write the reviews from disabled perspective.
