Helping a local cafe to get known on Google

This is my first post in this forum so I hope I am doing the right things and I guess this is the best way to find out if I am NOT, and this is also a trial for my Connect Live 2020 Application post.
I live North of Cairns in Far North Queensland Australia and our hub town is a small sugar cane town called Mossman so I decided to hone my skills (as a Google Local Guide and a Google Trusted Pro Photographer) using the small local shopping center.
And having just discovered the wonders of Google Location Lists, here is the list https://goo.gl/maps/JXPZM75ToByAZHBf9
One of these places, Mossman Tucker Time, had no Google Business Site at all so first thing I did was ask the owner if he wanted to be on Google and he said YES. In fact I had walked past his cafe several times without even noticing he existed as he did not even have a sign on the front of the shop, so I figured he was a real “suitable case for treatment” in all things Google, and I could learn as I went.
The task of getting him ON Google Maps was quite easy and Google approved it in a day or so.
Next task was to get permission to CLAIM/MANAGE it (jointly with the owner, who is fairly “digitally disadvantaged”) and that involved him getting a postcard from Google with a code that he passed on to me, and a short time later we were joint managers. So I then added some photos and 360 deg panos.
The issue here is that it was easy, as usual, to get a place ON Google but when asked about “what can I do to MANAGE it?” my answer was always quite vague and I wanted to know more from the side of the business owner so I could answer that question with really good vibes.
If you have not gone to his site already from the List above it is https://goo.gl/maps/S6cUFEVRkd2T1BHf6
Now the only menu he had was that chalkboard you can see behind the counter, which is not ideal so this was a good opportunity to test out my new “Cloudboard Menu” system which is a cut-down Google BlogSpot and has the huge advantage to the business owner that once set up I give him permission to make changes without needing to come back to me (as is the case with the ubiquitous PDF Menu). I have yet to try Google’s NEW Blogspot to see if it has any advantages but this is one of the great things about Google in that it is continually coming out with new ideas and features.
Of course he did not have a website so this was a chance to try the “Add Wesite” feature using the Menu and Google approved it in a day or so. Then I discovered I could add a URL that was specifically tagged “MENU” and I tried that and it also worked - so you will see he presently has two tags pointing to the same place, which I may change in the future but is OK for now.
And all the time Google is emailing me with details of the Business Site which impressed me greatly, eg is says (for our eyes only) today “2,137 views in the last 28 days”.
The other advantage of the Blogspot Menu is that after going to the trouble of typing in all the details, it is a fairly simple matter to PRINT it out so I did that on 6 A4 sheets and laminated them. Then out with hammer and saw and BINGO he now had a sign and menu outside his cafe during Xmas week 2019.
Now most restaurants will already have a menu posted outside and I am not a woodworking fan so this was really just an experiment to see what flow-ons are possible from all these Local Guide Tools. I still need to go back with my 360 camera to do a pano with the new sign, but this also taught me that a Site can be a “work in progress” and does not need to be completed on the spot.
So did it work for Mossman Tucker Time? - well I go to Mossman once a week for shopping and generally drop in there and ask how things are going, and the last few times he was so busy he was not even able to talk to me. So that was answer enough for me, quite apart from what Google was telling me.
