Helpful Photography vrs Fun Photography

One thing that I’ve began doing in the recent months is taking photos of things or items that are more helpful than fun. Sure I love taking that awesome artsy photo that looks great but I’ve noticed that photos of things like menus, prices, and say… seating arrangements or seat types are what people are really viewing the most. Don’t get me wrong I will definitely still take that gorgeous food shot but that awesome staged and filtered photo of my dish might only be viewed a 100 times in the 1st week or so whereas a photo of a empty table, booth or menu might get several 1000 plus. I’d be interested in hearing if others have noticed this as well? Maybe it’s just me but some of my highest viewed photos are my most functional ones.

@Dcasaus well done, I’m sure your photos are very useful and will achieve high rates of views on Google maps.

Hi @Dcasaus ,

I have uploaded 300+ photos and when sorted by views, the most viewed photos are exteriors and wide interiors. For a restaurant that interests me, I like to know what does the place look like from the street , some interior shots to show ambience, and menus. Your menu sample is great for the person who wants to know the cuisine and prices. Just a suggestion: rotate vertical images to be vertical
