When I am suggesting a edit on Google maps some of the places doesn’t get approved . What is the reason can u help.
@Alloyd15dsouza that is hard to say, as there are a lot of reasons why this can happen.
In my podcast I have an entire episode on that topic, so you could check that out
https://letsguidepodcast.com/2020/09/09/episode-25-verification-of-edits/
There are a lot of different reasons for an edit not being applied, @Alloyd15dsouza , and you can have a more clear indication from your edit list.
It can depend of the category (some category like banks or ATM are very difficult to add, because frequently subject of scam) or the geographic area (sometimes edit are blocked in some area due to abuse or to spam attacks), local restrictions (governative) but the most common reason is that “Google couldn’t verify your edit”.
It happens to everyone, you are not alone in this, and is reduced for the most experienced Local guides only because they search for the “digital evidence” of the existence of a business, before to add it on Maps.
For more details about the verification and approval process, you can read the official post: Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”?
Hi
When I am suggesting an edit in Google maps mostly it is not applied. So can u tell me If i remove a pic of it will it be approved.
I am merging your post on the previous thread starter by you about the same subject.
In there you received some answers already and we also shared some links with you, to better understand what editing means and how the verification process works.
Please do not start more threads about the same subject. If you have other questions, keep them in this conversation
Thanks
@Alloyd15dsouza this is definitely not something where a straightforward answer can be given within seconds in each individual case. If you want to understand what could be happening, you will really need to invest some time to read the post that @ErmesT referred to and/or listen to the podcast episode I shared in the prevous reply.
