Help to mark a place as a permanently closed!

I want to mark this restaurant as a permanently closed because it relocated to this Food Court , but when I enter the changes and click submit, the changes are not sent!

Note: I tried to do that on my android phone and on my desktop too, but both attempts failed! What’s wrong?

Hello @HanyM19

Places in certain regions may be locked for any community edits. Please check whether your region falls within that.

Nevertheless, please try clearing any cached data and attempt to submit once again.

Also please disable the following services temporarily & try again:

  1. Antivirus programs

  2. VPN service

  3. Ad blockers

  4. Cleanup apps or programs running in background

Some ISPs also block connecting with some DNS. Change that to Google DNS if possible.

I just tested to see if the submit button is grey after typing an English name to the place. No problems I could submit an edit (but of cause I did not).

A restaurant with 221 reviews is by default hard to edit. Even when not claimed as this one.

If the restaurant actually relocated you may need to consider if moving could be a better solution than discarding the review work of 221 people.

Maybe you need the kind help from a moderator like @sonnyNg to find the best solution.

BTW @C_T What are the recommded steps to determine if community contributions are banned in an area?

What does happen when you click the send button? Do you get an error like ‘server too busy, try again later’ (I have seen that at times)? Is the button greyed out? Does it change in any way if you click it? Nothing happens at all?

Regarding your inquiry, would you mind specifying the outcome after pressing on the Submit button, should it be close to what @JanVanHaver kindly described?

Much appreciated also from @MortenCopenhagen for providing the observation, should you check if any other type of edits would occur similarly on the location.

I think you’re right regarding that some contributions are banned in my area because I tried to add places and roads before, and I got like a notification that these features are not available in my region yet.

Hi @JanVanHaver ,

The button turns grey, but the changes are not sent. when I try to exit, I get a prompt to save or ignore the changes, and when I click save, the changes are not sent also. I think @C_T is right regarding that some contributions are banned in this area because I tried to add places and roads before in my regions, and I failed.
