help! reporting accidents not possible within android auto!

At 9to5Google.com an article has been published about the fact that accidents can’t be reported by using android auto etc. you only can do this by using the smartphone:

https://9to5google.com/2024/02/18/google-maps-speed-trap-incident-reporting/

@DeniGu and co: don’t neglect this issue and ask Google to solve this in a good way. Idem with speed indications: they only show the permitted speed and not the speed you are currently driving, this all should be shown on the screen of the car.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely, Katty

Hi @KattyGeltmeyer ,

Thanks for raising this! Google Maps is constantly changing and evolving, and feedback from the contributors is really appreciated. For cases like this, however, it’s best to submit your feedback in Maps. This way, your suggestions reach the responsible team directly.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I will change the topic of your post to How-tos. That’s the most suitable place to ask questions and share feedback about Maps, the Local Guides program, and Connect.

Thank you again!

@DeniGu : Thanks for this tip, but I would suggest the car drivers on localguides would send this feedback. instead of me, as I’m not using android auto or google maps while driving. And speaking of android auto: where should the android auto users post this feedback? In maps or in android auto? I would suggest in both apps.

Sending this feedback in both apps definitely sounds like a good idea, @KattyGeltmeyer .

Then I only could ask to all android auto users to send this feedback within both apps and you can use the link to this thread in localguidesconnect.
