Hope this will help you. This is how I find my missing GL friends.

1.Open a conversation box like this

2. Type@

3. Type @kristina

4.There are about 10 Kristinas coming up in the pop up screen

5. If you are familiar with her profile picture you would be able to pick her up and send a message like this
