Help Needed - Delay in Approval of India Unity Walk Meetups - Indian Local Guides

Dear @KlaudiyaG

Here are some facts regarding “India Unity Walk - Spam Free Maps” and request your kind attention, at your earliest.

India Unity Walk (by Indian Local Guides) - “Spam Free Maps” is aimed at ‘Mass reporting’ of spam in Google Maps from India. The mission is also to train New Comer LGs in:

  1. How to Apply for LG Connect Meetups,
  2. How Conduct Meetups
  3. How to identify the Spam (Photos & Reviews), and
  4. How to report Spam and finally
  5. How to write RECAP with Spam Documentation.

Although we have tried to groom LGs through Written tutorials, Videos & Calls, they may make a few mistakes, which you can expect as beginners. So, we request you to kindly pardon minor mistakes and sanction the applications at your earliest and motivate Meetup Applicants, please.

While waiting to see the approvals soon, we also request for your valuable Suggestions & Supports,

Thanks to you all for making this event successful - your kind inspirations & supports are most essential to make such missions successful.

With warm regards,

Dear @AmbrishVarshney @NareshDarji @TPattanaik @JMD9 @deepakjhic @JohnPeter @SalmaanN - your valuable endorsement will be helpful - kindly respond when free.

Hi @TravellerG ,

The Unity Walk is wonderful initiative. Nonetheless, there are a few things that every Local Guide should keep in mind when submitting their meet-up through the platform. Originality is definitely one of them. Repetitive content is not encouraged, as it is against our content policy.

You can rest assured that every meet-up entry will be moderated. I believe that this was previously shared with you that meet-ups can be reviewed within one week, so we encourage every host to submit their meet-up as early as possible.

@TravellerG Thank you Sir for raising a very valid concern from Team Unity. We expect there are many applications by this weekend as the team motivations are in process. If the meetups are approved in time…they will get encouraged. Thanks @KlaudiyaG For your kind words…We are aiming a big response on SPAM reporting this time and for this entire team unity is working very hard. Seeking your support on this. Thank you very much.

Yes, I very much understand you, friend @KlaudiyaG , but when we try to train newcomers, we are training with GUIDELINES & templates to educate them…

1.Since the THEME is the same, many similarities, come in.

  1. However, due to poor communication skills in English, they tend to make minimum changes - many of our LGs are also from rural India.

  2. Even though the event was announced almost a month ahead, and with all our efforts, many of them waited for the last day - of course, now we have planned to conduct the Meetups between 15th & 30th of August 2020.

A dozen of our senior Local Guides have been putting in man days of efforts to make such events happening; since many LGs requested me address to you/Google, I came with this post -

Sorry, if I have bothered you.

Thanks for your response

Hi again @TravellerG ,

Local Guides are always welcome to communicate in the language they feel most comfortable. The Google Translate tool is enabled across the entire platform to help remove language barriers, so that people can understand each other.

I understand that the objective of the campaign is the same, however, originality is what we are aiming for on the forum. We support people’s unique point of views and this is very important to us. Duplicative posts are considered as spam and are against the rules.

Thanks @TravellerG sir, @KlaudiyaG ;

I received the approval on my meet-up request. And I hope rest of the participants who are specially first-timers will get it soon.

Much appreciated.

I am sure you all seniors are doing it religiously but still request to share the any helpful links, if possible here as well as any social media platform accessible to most of the first timers.

Cheers!

Two three time, reason of rejection is that there is another meetup in your City that you join…

I live in Mumbai City Mumbai is not a small village, The other meetup here is far away from my location and considering the current situation it is not advisable to travel far so I planned a meetup in my area, Please approve my meetup…

Appreciate each word of your response, dear @KlaudiyaG

Since we both are clear about what we are discussing, let us move on.

As rightly mentioned by our @AmbrishVarshney , “from Missions like Unity Walk - Spam Free Maps, Unity Walk - Help Small Business our Aim is very clear”. But, for your information, maybe due to multiple reasons, while training, our LGs are committing a few mistakes - maybe this is different than what you experience in your part of the world.

However, kindly understand that the present performance of our translator is very poor.

Once again, we thank you for our kind response & guidance always - you are really “reliable” & helpful.
