Help me getting my account back

So I was a Level 6 local guide as of email from the local guide on 7/3/2019. After all that I made an appeal to local guides regarding all this on 22/8/2021 and they told me they have removed all penalties against my account but I am still banned.

I raised the same issue on my Twitter handle tagging google maps. Now the funny part is google is asking me to somewhat commit the crime by saying to go any post and comment there. How can a person even do that if the account is banned and also they don’t want us to make a new account which will be against their policy?

According to the appeal made by me, the reply says that my account is good to go but I still am not able to access local guides neither on their website nor on the maps app.

I will also delete this account as soon as my issue is resolved because I went against the local guides policy of having multiple accounts but it was the only option I had and I am sorry for that in advance.

Please somebody help me with this issue.

من الجيد انك تعرف ان حسابك الثاني مخالف للقواعد ، ومن الجيد ايضا انك ستقوم بحذفه ،

ثم عليك القيام بخطوة مهمة لاستعادة حسابك ( عليك ازالة كل المخالفات ) … الصور ، التعليقات ، … يجب تنظيف ملفك …

… بعد ازالة كل المخالفات قدم نموذج الطعن

… بعد عودة حسابك مرة اخري … عليك قراءة التعليمات والقواعد جيدا .

… نتمني عودتك قريبا وسريعا …

when I tried signing up again it says ‘you are not eligible to become a Local Guide’ but I meet all the requirements of this program’s rules.

As shown in the screenshot on my original post I already had made an appeal to which Local guides said that my account is good to go and there are no penalties against it but still I am not able to access my Local guides account

It would be nice if you tag the person you are responding to :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I have seen this twice before. Obviously there must be reasons for suspension that the appeals form can not see. I suspect mixing commercial interests with those of being an independent local guide could be one of them. Bad behavior on Connect could be another reason.

I’m sorry I don’t know any solutions to your problem. If the Google moderators don’t step in and help or explain this I don’t think you can recover your old account and level.

you can see my contributions by the link provided on the original post in which I neither have made any commercial interests nor I have made even a single comment on the Local Guide page.

It seems like Local Guides doesn’t even know the problem on my account.

On the meantime, for your own privacy, please edit your posts (this one and the other where you posted the same content) for removing the screenshots.

Thanks a lot for understanding my issue.

I would request you to please contact me on my banned gmail- as I cannot even open the Local Guides connect website from that account.

Or

We could talk on this account itself and I promise that I will remove this account as soon as my issue is resolved sorry for breaking the policy rules :disappointed:

Hey @Bobiisha and @ErmesT ,

Thanks a lot for helping me get my account back it means a lot to me.

One suggestion, I did not receive any communication from Local Guides regarding the issue being solved I just today randomly tried logging in again and the account seemed to be working. I think there should be some communication between LG and the users regarding the status of the issue.

Also as promised I will go ahead and delete this account in a few hours since my issue is now resolved.
