Help! How to resolve the "post flooding detected"?

Hi all! I was trying to make a post, got the classic “invalid html” error and then popped into this. I loaded it again and BOOM, a second time.

Can anyone shed some light on what on earth is this message, why did I get it and how do I fix it? Perhaps Mr. Problem Solver @ErmesT can do his usual magic here.

Hello @Marichams

I received that message once when I tried to resubmit the same message once again inadvertently.

Possibly, the article or notification got posted in the first attempt and then clicking the submit button once again triggered the message.

Hi @C_T , I thought that too, yet it does not appear to have been posted. Hence my question.

Hi @Marichams

Then possibly the spam filter caugh it. A Connect moderator can check for you.

Yeah, that makes total sense, let’s see if it applies when one of them jumps in. How’s life doing, @MortenCopenhagen ?

Hola @Marichams , que tal?

Happy to see you again.

Flood detection is part of a series of controls (like also the Like flood detection, or the 100 character limit) to try to limit the “spam” and to improve the quality of posting in Connect.

My feeling is that the control is triggered by the “Submit” button itself, and you did it twice, because the first time the “Invalid HTML” was stopping the publication. You submitted again, and the post was temporary blocked.

My feeling is that a control of the post ID should be added to the Flood Control, to avoid issues like yours.

Beautiful Post, BTW

@Marichams

Today, the message surfaced once again. I find on the phone the “post” button becoming unresponsive on click. Thinking that the comment is yet to be submitted, I hit the button once again and then the message surfaced!

It was a temporary glitch, @C_T , and in fact it was not possible to post. The flooding was also in Reporting.

Fixed now
