It is such a joy to read many of them. They express sincere pleasure and happiness related to Google Maps and all the opportunities provided to contribute and give back to the community.
Actually, some of them are extraordinary and very touching.
A few might think that if they praise Google it might increase their chances to get selected
I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind fellow seniors here on Connect to read some of them as distribute some likes and comments so all the new folks can feel welcome. All of them deserve some kind of response - I think. There are still many new posts with no comments and likes.
If we all spread some positive vibes as a welcome gesture they could easily become new friends and strong local guides.
Cheers
PS there is also a need to kindly remind some of them about the Connect etiquette like using the @ tagging-tool.
You are raising a good point here, and I must say that I did that a few times welcoming them when applications for CL2020 started, but because these posts are too many I ended up stopping doing it. I am sure the local guide team will see this post and do something about it. Cheers!
Hi @MortenCopenhagen . I agree with you. Once it is impossible to welcome everybody, I decided to welcome at least my countrymen. Once I see a Brazilian post, I reply with a luck comment. I see the Connect application as a perfect opportunity to increase to present LGC and increase our community.
PS.: Maybe itβd better you remove the Google Maps logo of your post, once it is not allowed on Local Guides rules.
Please keep in mind, that Iβve redacted the official Google Maps logo from your post, as it is a Google brand identity and is reserved for official use only. Do not use the Local Guides logo, pin, or any other Google imagery in any of your online or offline materials without expressed written permission.
Great Idea @MortenCopenhagen I used to do this on another forum, just to welcome them and make them feel someone is reading their post. We forget sometimes its the first post anywhere that some of these guides are are not used to posting anything, anywhere.
Now, when we are approaching the deadline, the number of application posts in Local Stories are going crazy. If you have some time at your hands please join us in greeting and commenting some of them.
