Help changing what Google is unable to verify

I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. We have War Memorial Park. In War Memorial Park is War Memorial Park Pavillion and War Memorial Park Natural Play Area And Pavillion. I know that Pavilion is incorrectly spelled. I sent a request to have War Memorial Park Pavillion made War Memorial Park Pavilion. I sent another request to have War Memorial Play Area And Pavillion made War Memorial Play Area and Pavilion. Actually, I sent a request for each twice. Google was unable to verify the information. I provided a picture containing a screenshot of the contents (as much as able) the last times Google was unable to verify. https://www.littlerock.gov/!userfiles/editor/docs/parks/War%20Memorial%20Park%20Play%20Area.pdf

I know a human does see every request. The second times, I added the opening date. This used to be a golf course. I do not want to leave here until I finish typing. Before coming here, I also attempted to change the address for the parking lot to 5511 West Markham Street to match the park.

I actually contacted somebody that works in the main office of Little Rock Park and Recreation to cause the name to be corrected.

Please review and change.

Thank you,

Andrew

Hi @Androoh

A lot of Local Guide struggle with getting Suggested edits approved.

You mentioned that you know that every edit is reviewed by a human. I’m sorry this is not correct. It is a spam fighting AI computer system that deals with our edits.

Also, you mentioned that you uploaded a screenshot. This is against the guidelines for photos.

Over time we can build the systems trust in us as local guides and this will lead to a higher approval rate. Or maybe we just learn to predict what suggest edits the AI computers will approve.

I have shared some tips on

How to make sense of Google’s responses to your edits where Approved, Not applied, and Pending are explained in more detail.

And please read Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”? if you haven’t already done so.

But I do agree that the system needs to get better at not rejecting valid edits.

As to your examples, you could try the Maps support forum.

Hit the Community tap at the top and make a post. You need to attach or link to official documentation supporting the change you are proposing.

Cheers

Morten

@MortenCopenhagen ,

I actually do know a bot interprets as much as able and most updates are not seen by a human. I left a word out. That was unintended. I have caused successful updates many times.

Sincerely,

Andrew
