To get familiar with the topics on the forum, and find various ways to engage with the community, you can check out What are Connect topics?. Feel free to write something about yourself and get to know other fellows in Connect in our monthly Introduce Yourself section.
By the way sometimes, posts must be moved from one topic to another or from one discussion to another, to help keep Connect organized. In that regard I will relocate your post to the Local Stories board where it fits better.
