Skazka Canyon is a small gorge on the southern coast of Issyk-Kul, famous for its red clay rocks. The canyon is located about 120 kilometers from Balykchi, near the village of Tosor.
“Tale” is a very visited place among tourists. The reason for this is the easy accessibility of the canyon and its stunning landscapes and contrasts. Soil erosion, lasting thousands of years, has done its job: a variety of bizarre figures of stone and clay rise in the canyon. Canyon “Fairy Tale” is composed of multi-colored clays, minerals and rocks, which adds picturesqueness to this place.
Some of the natural sculptures in the canyon have their own names. The most recognizable is the China Wall
