The kind moderator “ermest” already informed you , just follow his advice. You will also have the support of the local guides, as it happened to me at beginning (that means a few weeks ago, hahaha), so you can ask whatever you need to know. The people in here are friendly and helpful.

I hope you will have a lot of fun exploring the community and as you probably have already noticed, there are different sections which show up different topics like Travel, Photography, Meet-ups, How-tos, etc.
If you ever have questions or just want to learn more about the Local Guides program, you can visit the Help Desk and search the community for answers.
You may like the idea to get familiar with the 14 helpful tips and your guide to Connect. You can see here who are the Google and Connect moderators on Connect: Meet the Google Moderators and Meet the Connect Moderators.
Your post is now moved to How-tos section where you can post questions which were not discussed already or issues related to the program or your Google Maps contributions.
