Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological park was the last
destination in Gujrat of our tour. We were enjoying the World Heritage site very much as February 2019 was the perfect time. As it was the second capital of Gujarat Sultanate. Sultan Mahmud Begda shifted his capital from Ahmadabad. Due to various attacks it was deserted and still it’s almost deserted. It has many World class monument and Helical Step-well was one attraction.

It’s a very unique monument situated in Pavagadh Archaeological Park was built in 15th century. Main entrance is leading via about 1.2 meters wide steps to the central shaft having stone steps and it seems as snack sitting in the coil form. Having a unique, prominent and reputed architectural classification of steps as spiral, linear and composite. Tourists they admire this Architecture and they enjoy the monument of that period. This is a 15th century’s monument. It is built by moulded bricks and easily accessible. Chiefly it was built to conserve the rain water. Still this monument is in very good shape. Having a one meter parapet at ground for the safety.

It attracts the tourists of all nature may be history buffs wanderers soul seekers art and architecture lovers.
